Reiter In is the thirteenth album by singer-songwriter and guitarist, Chris Whitley. It is his eleventh studio album and the last he made before his death (five months later, at 45) in November 2005.

The album was recorded as a band effort and is billed as "Chris Whitley & The Bastard Club".
Kenny Siegal (of Johnny Society) produced, co-wrote, and played on the album. It was recorded all analog and live on a two-inch tape Sony MCI JH24 tape deck through a Trident board at Old Soul Studios in Catskill, New York. It was mixed by John Holbrook. Limited to 1,000 pressings, maybe the rarest of the CW vinyl?

Thank you for this.

I'm a few songs in and I already know this will be on high rotation for me.

This fellow is a new discovery to me thanks to here and HRM, I don't know how I have missed him when he was alive, I was over my drug influenced days when he was doing this great stuff... (maybe my head was still up my ass, I don't know).

I can't get enough of his great soul that he poured on to vinyl.

It's truly sad he is no longer with us now.

Thanks again.

Downloading now & will report back on what I hear very soon, but talk about an ironic experience happening here right now.

I checked in earlier today between a rare split shift & this was not yet posted. It's been a long damn day & I got home & put on "Dislocation Blues" to wind down & get settled in before I looked for new posts. Behold, look what is here now! I am so looking forward to hearing this!

I was introduced to Chris Whitley back in the late 90's, but as sd10521 stated, I think my head was up my ass & I didn't realize what I was hearing but thanks to 86ed these last few weeks I'm able to re-discover this wonderful talent the way it was meant to be heard.

Chris Whitley had more soul & talent in his little pinky than most could ever dream about!

Thanks 86ed! Lining this up next in the play list!

The funky sound at about :48 into I Go Evil is deliberate, just FYI. I re-recorded and checked it over and over, it is in the vinyl that way.

Glad you guys are liking it, and glad tigermks entrusted me with these gems!
