Jim Queen – All ‘Round Fiddle (1984) 24-bit 96 kHZ vinyl rip (andredbook)

Jim Queen – All ‘Round Fiddle (with Danny Gatton, Mike Auldridge)

Vinyl rip in 24-bit / 96kHZ and redbook | FLAC | no cue or log (vinyl) | artwork
707 MB (24/96) + 195 MB (RB) | Torrent/FP/FF/RS | Bluegrass | Round Fiddle Records RF1001

A rare LP sought out because Danny is on it (I have a number of LPs like that, Cindy Bullens, Leslee Bird Anderson, Johnny Seaton). But it also has Mike Auldridge on dobro, so thought I would resurrect this rip from my old site as a minor tribute to Mike... I doubt most have ever heard of this LP.

Have to be honest, I never heard of Jim either, I picked this up because it is one of the rarest Danny Gatton pieces I know of.   Some other quality players here along with Jim and Danny, including the recently deceased Mike Auldridge who was with Seldom Scene — one of the great bluegrass groups of the 70s and 80s — they were from DC area too. Check it out, some good grass here folks!

This was ripped on my old rig, Technics SL-1100A w/ ATOC9MLII, felt like putting it up here as a small tribute to Mike who died on December 29, 2012...

Thanks! Great to see some bluegrass here. Highly recommend last year's First Tear, a solo album by Akira Otsuka (the mandolinist on this record).

RIP, Mike Auldridge!

Thanks for the magnet.

Kid home from school due to road ice this morning says:

"Daddy can we have pancakes?"

"I guess so but we'll have to make them from scratch. We're out of mix."

"How do you make them from scratch?"

"Step 1 is to play some fiddle music."
